About

Welcome to my humble home on the worldwide web.  I’m a thirty-something food fanatic who’s always hungry and seriously addicted to buying cookbooks.  I’ve jumped on the blogging bandwagon so that I can finally make a dent on my “Recipes-to-try” list.  These recipes are not only from my largely unused cookbooks or from the cooking shows I love but they’re also from the food blog pioneers I’ve followed for years.

Since I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, I’m very lucky to be exposed to countless gastronomic delights.  My husband and I also love to travel and getting to know different cultures through their cuisine is as exciting for me as seeing famous monuments.   At home, however, I tend to gravitate towards simple, rustic dishes.  So, this is the kind of food you’ll be seeing in this blog.  Comfort food, healthy food–that’s what Lemons and Anchovies is all about.

If you want to say hello, feel free to email me at lemonsandanchovies@gmail.com

Jean, each of your recipes sound and look delicious. I moved to the Bay Area fairly recently from the Midwest and was curious if you had any must-try restaurant recommendations in the South Bay.

I look forward to many posts and recipes from you to come!

    Anyway, nice blog!

Whoops…meant to say “Capellini” above. BTW…I used to live in Vacaville, CA. My hubby & I commuted to San Leandro for work. I love the entire Bay Area & San Francisco is one of my favorite cities. You aren’t kidding about it being filled with gastronomic delights. I miss the area so much!
